SPECIAL COURSE OF TRAINING
New regulations governing promotion from the ranks "to combatant commission? as second lieutenants, have been issued as an Army Order. For the present, candidates will be granted commissions only in the Cavalry, Royal Corps of Signals, Royal Tank Corps and Royal Army Service Corps but no candidate will be recommended unless he has b?en employed in a capacity where he lias shown power of leadership. Candidates will now be required to undergo a course of training of about 18 months' duration at the Royal Aiilitary College. Sandhurst, and to obtain a sum. factory report therefrom.
