RECORD IN ALTITUDE.
CLAIM BY AMERICAN. A. and N.Z. NEW YORK. Feb. 22. Lieutenant John Cready, of the United States Army, is believed to have broken the world's altitude record in an aeroplane. It is •unofficially stated, from Dayton, Ohio, that he rose 41,000 feet.
