LINERS TO BURN OIL.
CARONIA AND CARMANIA. Two Cunard liners, the Caronia and Cavmania, which are to be transferred from the New York to the Canadian service, will be converted from coal to oilburning. The work is now in hand, and will be completed in time for the vessels to open the St. Lawrence season in April. Employment is thus provided for a large number of men. The Caronia iB being converted by Messrs. Vickers at Barrow, and the Carmania by John Brown and Co. at Clydebank. ' •
