NIGHT PARTIES AT KOHIMARAMA.
Sir,—As one who heard, may I ask airplay," if he and his companions would indulge in a similar entertainment (substituting for bathing some other amusement involving "the screams of the ladies") within, say, 30yds. or 50yds. ot any of their own homes? 1 Would they dare attempt such a thing on any open space or reserve within the city and suburbs? He admits himself that the disturbance was sufficient to draw an audience between XI p.m. and 12-p.m. In similar circumstances, what would happen to the party within the city? Kohimarama Beach -has had but little to complain of as yet of the conduct of its visitors, and this protest' is made in view of the unhappy and unenviable experience of the Takapuna beaches a few seasons ago. All visitors are welcome on Kohimar-ama Beach, provided they keep within recognised limits, and'the present publicity should obviate any occasion for future complaint.' A Beach Resident.
