SELECTION OF SKIPPER.
Auckland's champion one-de*sign 14footer Bona, which has been selected to represent „ the r province at Wellington next month, when she will be called upon to defend the title. to the Sanders Cup, has changed hands, her formed owner, Mr. A. E. Gifford, having sold the litfle vessel to Mr. C. G. Macindoe. Bona was built by Mr. C. Bailey, junior, to the order of Mr. Gifford, and has been sailed with considerable success ,by Mi*. Jack Gifford. Mr. Macindoe, who has long been connected with aquatics on the Waitemata and is now the owner of the express motor cruiser, Marguerite, staged on Saturday that he would go to Wellington with Rona and had expressed to the Selection Committee the wish that Mr. A. Matthews, who sailed Rona with euch conspicuous success in the Sanders Cup contests eirly this year should again be placed in charge. CANTERBURY REPRESENTATIVE. LINNET WINS IN TRIALS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHBISTCHURCH, Sunday. The fifth trial race for the Sanders Cup contest was held at Lyttelton yesterday, vhen. Linnetf beat Secret by 2min. 32sec. Linnet, having won four races out of the seven, is now the Canterbury representative.

ANOTHER WIN FOR JUNE.

The twelfth Sanders Cnj> trial run was sailed yesterday afternoon and was won by June, with Heather, Kia Ora, and Winifred, following in that order. June has now won five trials, Winifred six ''and Heather one.
