Saturday. • Haymaking is at present in full swing in the Ngahinepotri district, and, already, although the time ... is unusually ' early, many farmer*> havo : their : ' hay stacked. Hie crops are very heavy, rand the dry *£ell of weather that is beinj; experienced has proved •very favourable for the production of satisfactory' crops of hay and for cutting and : stacking. Every year there has been a shortage of . hay in the Ngahinepouri district, - and the farmers axe tailing steps this season to make ample provision .for, noxt winter's feed. Root crops for the autmun feeding hive token well, and the fields of millet are showing great promise. If there is net too much dry weather , this summer, there will be ample supplementary fodder i available for .the cows in the autumn and j winter. ' . . r ; j
