HUNTLY HALE BURNED.
EARLY MORN|NG OUTBREAK. ABSENCE OF WATER SUPPLY. [EX TELEGRAPH. —OWN ( CORRESPONDENT.] HUNTLY. Saturday. The Huntly Miners' Hall was totally destroyed by fire early this morning. An. adjoining building was saved. Fortunately there was no wind. Six band instruments, valued at £20, music, and stands were burned. The insurance on the hall is £2000, on the furniture £300, and plant £200. The hall was locked up after the conclusion of the picture entertainment last evening at. about 11 o'clock, when everything appearod to be in order. Shortly before 2 a.m. flames were observed shooting out of the office and before anything could be done had secured a good hold on the building, There being no water supply the spectators could no nothing but watch the flames consume the building.
