PROPOSED ROAD LOAN. [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ,';_ ;< TAUBANGA, ; Monday. ; A' poll of ratepayers of the Te Puna special > rating area: will be held on December 20 on a proposal to raise a loan of £4000, . for metalling and other improvements to portions of , the - main Tauranga-Waihi road, - between the' Wairoa and Aongateie Rivers. There is a substantial subsidy on the Public Works estimates for this road, and if the loan is sanctioned -.",. considerable metalling work will be done oh the road, which promises to become an important link between the railhead at Athenree and the town of Tauranga. , . ,v.
