NORTHERN CLUB. Thte Northern Racing Pigeon Club held its old bird championship race on Saturday, from Johnsonville, a distance of 305 miles. Despite stormy weather, most of the birds arrived in Auckland practically together, sitter a hard fly of over 10 hours. Mr. Crowhurst, whose favourable position at Stanley Bay, with the strong westerly wind, gave him a decided advantage over the other competitors, was the lucky winner by a small margin, and retains the Western Challenge Cup for another year. l The results are as follow:— Growhurst's pd h La Reine, BGOyds per minute, 1: P.
