ASHBURTON. Saturday. _
Percy Noble, aged 24, a porter at th» Somerset Hotel, was walking in the Domain last night when he was suddenly confronted by a man six feet in stature, springing from behind a tree and denuding money. Noble, who is also six feet high, seeing that his assailant was apparently unarmed, refused to comply with the demand, and placed himself in an attitude of defence. The man thereupon decamped. Noble, whose pockets held a considerable sum of money, informed the police, who are now rounding up undesirables.
