SUGGESTED RAIL ROUTES.
MINISTER TO INSPECT. [BX TELEGRAPH.—OWN" CORRESPONDENT.] TATJPO, Saturday. The Minister for Public Works is expected to pay a short visit to this disx trict early next month, in order to traverse the suggested railway route from Rotorua to Waiotapu, and also to go over the Taupo Totara Timber Company's line from Putaruru. The Minister will probably also see the suggested route of a line to near Oruanui, nine miles from Taupo, which the Railway Board has under consideration as a possible alternative, in the event of it not taking over the Timber Company's line in its entirety.
