ASSOCIATION'S FIRST REUNION.

Tho first reunion of. members of the Victoria Rifles Association • was held in tho Druids' Hall on Satnrday evening, Major Cox president: The Victoria Rifles Company was the oldest volunteer corps in the Empire and had a unique record, being for many years the premier shooting Corps in tfee. Dominion. Many . famous marksmen served their apprenticeship to the rifle in its ranks. Amour, those present at the Gathering was Colour-Sergeant Rose, who foined the company in 1872. At the suagentian of Mr. Drew, who represented the old Ponsonby Garrison Artillery, it was decided'that" a rifle match should beheld between members of the two old corps. An excellent programme of vocal and musical items .was contributed, and the gathering proved a great success. ,'-.'
