LORD CAVAN'S TOUR.
IMPORTANCE TO DOMINIONS.
IMPERIAL DEFENCE SURVEY.
A. and N.Z. LONDON, Not. 23. Mr. S. M. Bruce, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth, and Mr. W. F. Massey, agree on the value of the visit of General the Earl of Cavan, Chief of the Imperial General Staff, to Australia and New Zealand. They think it highly desirable that Lord Cavan should have an opportunity of seeing Empire outposts, so as to gain first-hand information, -which will be useful for Imperial defence, although in accepting the invitation Lord Cavan holds no mission to report on the defences of Australia and New Zealand.
