STRAWBERRY FACE CREAM.

In country districts in England fresh strawberry juice rubbed on tEe skin is often used to tone up a sallow complexion. A lasting preparation in which strawberries are used is made in this way : Secure about a quarter of a pound of ripe, fresh strawberries Mid four or five times the amount of good quality lard. Put the lard m a jar and stand this in boilinrr water until it has melted. Crush the strawberries well, and then arrange them in a straining-cloth. Pour the liquid lard through the crushed strawberries and stir the mass well until it begins to cool. • The strawberry . pomade becomes more attractive if it is coloured and perfumed.
