POST OFFICE ROBBERIES.
William Clayton, aged 55, a post office cleaner, was sentenced at G'lerkenwell Police Court, London, to three months'imprisonment in the second division for stealing a pair of eye-glasses and 55 postal packets from the Mount Pleasant Sorting Office. Clayton dropped his duster on a sorting basket, and when he picked it up it appeared" to be bulky/ He was asked to go into the office, and it was then discovered that , lie was in. possession of a number of letters. .He admitted; that the tbefta- had. coaUuu*4 for. si* mouths.
