ACTIVITIES IN AUCKLAND.

The annual meeting of the Auckland Workers', Educational Association was held this week, the president),! Mir. C. J. Bishop, being in . the chair. , The report of the director of tutorial classes, ' Mr, L. A. Mander, showed a marked increase, in the activities of the association. At- the beginning of 'the year visits were paid to factories, warehouses and offices, and addresses i given op the aims j of the ; university tutorial movement. The result was seen in a large , enrolment of members, the total being 797. The short-course lectures wore particularly successful, while lunchhour classes in social science were held at the Farmers' Union Trading .
