TUTANKHAMEN'S TOMB.
EVE OF THE REOPENING.
SARCOPHAGUS TO BE SOUGHT.
A. and N.Z. LONDON. Nov. 20. Advices from Luxor state thai final preparations for the reopening of the tomb of Tutankhamen are complete, it is hoped that the entrance of the tomb will reveal even more valuable discoveries than those last year. This year's work will be entirely devoted to taking down the nested shrines filling the sepulchral chamber, with the object of reaching the sarcophagus, which should „be in the centre, and should contain the mortal remains of a Pharaoh. '.' ' ' " The dismounting of the shrines is extremely difficult work owing to their delicate condition, and the task is further complicated by the small working space. • . ,'..'. *
