A mail contractor's car, driven by Mr. Patrick Green, while going to the Coast district to-day crashed into the hand-rail of a bridge three miles from Daruievirke, and fell into the creek. The driver was pinned underneath % the i vehicle, but was rescued by a passer-by. . He is now in the Dannevirke Hospital, suffering from severe internal injuries. Mr. G.
