ALL PROPOSALS LOST. VARYING MAJORITIES. T.BT XXUEQRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA, Wednesday. Four loan proposals, involving a total of £38,270, were submitted to the borough ratepayers to-day, and all were defeated. Details are as follows: — Loan of £33,100 for street improvements and storm water drainage; For, 119; against, 298. Majority against, 179. Loan of £4100 for construction of new municipal baths: For, 153; against, 265. Majority against, 112. Loan of £500 for public conveniences in business area: For, 201; against, 214. Majority against, 13. Loan of £570 for erecting a wall and railing along the front and sides of tho Town Hall: For, 122; against, 294. Majority against, 172.
