KARANGAHAPE ROAD WORK.
ALTERATIONS TO PREMISES.
The alterations to tho premises recently acquired by Messrs. J. R. McKenzie, arc rapidly nearing completion. The whole front has been remodelled, arid a new building has been "erected at the rear, this addition providing .a- spacious shop running to a. depth of BBft. The, front has been made a deep V shape,, and the windows are illuminated with concealed lighting. The large basement will be used as a toy bazaar. A feature* of the lighting of. these premises is the top lighting in the main shop, ,- the result of » which is very effective. . The cost, of these alterations and additions is about £5000. It is expected that the premises will bo open for business in. about ' two weeks. Th architects are Messrs. Savage and Morra-n.
