But for ■ the fact that his health was not - good, '■< His Honor: would have ordered , him to 'be flogged.' ;'lf the Legislature," said His Honor, ■". entrusted the Court, as I think it should, with power to do so, I would have subjected you to a surgical operation "'■ that would render .you comparatively : harmless to the community.
