The use of school playgrounds out of school, hours, .and the question of increased, restriction of such use was dis cussed by the Wellington Education Board to-day. The board adopted, a motion that in view of these grounds having been provided by the public funds and the policy of the board towards increasing playing areas, it be an instruction to all school committees that in the letting of grounds for tennis and other sports, any revenue received be applied to the sports funds the improvement of grounds and their repair if, any .damage is done when the grounds were occupied for other purposes. The opinion was expressed that, tile grounds should be kept open until at least 5 p.m.
