RELIEF OF THE DISTRESSED <In connection with the Japanese disaster, the headquarters office of the Y.W.CA. ] for Australia and New Zealand at Sydney has received a cablegram (:■< to the effect that the Australia.ii Association secretaries .in.' Japan are safe. .The association . buildings in Tokio have - r : been burnt, but the private residences of the secretaries are safe. - The secretaries have sent an appeal for blankets and woollens to relievo the distress Muring the coming winter months. The national officials were able to send a supply of blankets and . flannel by the -relief; ship .which sailed from Sydney, and , each local association is opening a subscription, list to pay for this practical form of sympathy with those in distress. , .. \"
