Arthur,, has, accepted the position' of as-sistant-professor of architecture at the Toronto .University, Canada. The position carries-with it a salary, of £600 per annum, .with, the right of private practice during the long vacation. v Mr. Arthur has had a brilliant career during his five years study of architecture in ■ England. While engaged in the office of the celebrated architect,. Sir Edwin Lutyens, Mr. Arthur, in collaboration with another, secured first prize out of 140 competitors for a design for the Denisbury war memorial. It was decided to. erect the .war memorial according to their design, and latest advices stajed that Mr. Arthur was superintending; its , erection.
