SHOOTING FATALITY.
TRAMWAY MOTORMAN DIES. ACCIDENT WHILE RABBITING A shooting accident, resulting in the death of a tramway motorman, Mr. William' Lewis Wilkin, a married man who liveirS in Trafalgar Street, .Onehimga, occurred at Drury yesterday afternoon. Mr. Wilkin was with a party rabbit-shoot-ing,' and as he was lifting a gun out of a motor-car it was discharged, the shot lodging in his right arm, and seriously injuring it. He was brought to the Auckland Hospital by motor, being admitted about 5.30 p.m. Later in the evening an operation was performed, but the injured man died about midnight.
