NEW REGIME IN SPAIN.
LIFE NEVER SO PEACEFUL.
WORKERS' TERRORISM ENDED LAW AGAINST PROFITEERS. By Telegraph—Press Association— A. and N.Z. LONDON. Sept. 30. The correspondent of the Daily Telegraph at Madrid says that life in Spain has never been so peaceful as at pre sent. v . ' . Swift and rigid enforcement of "the: law has created a panic among criminals. People are beginning to know what it is to go about their lawful occupations without the perpetual menace of attack. Grave disturbances and outbreaks of terrorism have ceased, and the worker, who was formerly in constant terror, is no longer at the mercy of the agitators. All the strikes have ended.
Another happy phase of the new order in Spain is a vigorous campaign through the whole country against unscrupulous tradesmen. Prices of food have been reduced everywhere, , and the populace is delighted with the change. The new policy is being supported by the lawabiding population. '■■.''
