CALL FOR ELECTRIC CURRENT
PANMURE AND JIT. WELLINGTON. The question of the extension of the Auckland Electric Power Board's services to Panmure and Mount Wellington wasBefore the board at its meeting yesterday. A deputation from the Panmure Road Board sought information as to the terms on which the board would supply current, for lighting and power. ■■,' It was stated that there were now 75 houses at Panmure and that further building was proceeding. ."■■■■■ ■■""'-'■■ '.'.'-■"'',"; •'. The chairman, Mr. L ; S. : J. Harbutt, stated that Panmure was not in the Power Board area, but progress was their policy, and that district would no doubt bo taken in. •It would be necessary to have a petition signed by at least one quarter of the ratepayers, signifying their wishes. In any case it would be from 18 months to two years before the work could be undertaken. It was decided to supply the Panmure Road Board with full details.
