BOWLING CLUB FORMED. Tby TELEGRAPH.—own CCRTIERPONDSNT. 1 "WARKWORTH. Tuesday. A meeting of' those interested in the formation of a Bow,ling and Croquet Club was held in the Warkworth Library on Monday night. The provisional committee previously appointed reported on its investigations. After discussion on sites and finance it was . decided .to form a Bowling and Croquet Club. Some 45 names were handed in as members of the bowling section, and 22 names of ladies for . the croquet section. It was decided to lay down a green on a site in the centre of the township, a liberal offer of the ground having been made by Mr. A. Warin. The area is over an acre, and Mr. Warin has offered it to the club for an . annual payment of £24 per year during the lives of his wife and himself, at their deaths the property to belong to the club. As a further help to getting the club started, Mr. Warin has offered to forego any payment for the first two years. A start will be made at once to level off and get the ground in order. Mr. J. S. .Wilson was e.ected president: Messrs. G. T. Civil, A. 1 Warin, and G. H. Phillips, vice-presidents; and Mr. Mulholland secretary and treasurer.
