—c* ;— COURT HEARS OBJECTIONS.;^ [bt telegbaph.— cokiiestondent,,] r ; EOTORUA' Monday. Daring last week an . Assessment Court, under the presidency of . Mr. A. D. Thomson, S.M., has been hearing objections against the borough valuations, Thirty-five objections were withdrawn and 65 struck out. The bulk of the remaining objectors secured modifications, some of a substantial nature. Sectional values in the main streets rang© from £45 to £25 per foot. The result of the. final settlement; will be an increase of building activities and a closing up of vacant blocks in the centre of the town. ■
