; The .tone of the Auckland sharemarket yesterday was quiet. In New Zealand Government securities ; the 1927 War Loans and Inscribed ' Stock had demand £98. For 1938 and ; 1939 Inscribed Stock buyers offered £96 15s. with sellers of the latter at £97 10s. The 1927-41 issue -had buyers at £97 153; and the 1929 issue at £97 10s. These were ; the only stocks inquired for. v Soldiers' Loan bonds had sellers at £102 15s, and inscribed stock in the same loan was offered at £102 7s 6d, In banks New Zealands were offered at 60s (cum rights), and there were buyers (ex rights) at '49s 3d. Bights changed hands at 295, -with further sellers at that price, buyers 28s 9d. Australasias were wanted at £13 7s. Nationals, of Now Zealand had sellers at £6 16s. For Unions £14 4 S was offered, sellers £14 7s od.Tn insurances South British sold at 41s od, late sellers 41s 9d, buyers 40s 9d. New Zealands were wanted at 295, sellers 30s. Nationals were offered nt 79s 3d, and Standards had inquiry at 38s 3d. In shipping Huddart-Parfcers (ord.) changed hands at 42s 9d. No business was done in miscellaneous lines, nor in mining.
