. A remarkable .escape from i serious injury occurred at the ,-corner^of Queen Street'"and Quay Street,shortly before 'two o'clock yesterday afternoon. "A light ■ Wo-" seater, motor-car was * turning: into ;•' Queen Street when $a. pedestrian^ was t struct by it, and' thrown td the ground. The front wheel: passed over ? the ■;■ man's body \■, and when the car was pulled up he v. as' ed to the ground* by one of, the rear wheel*. A number of onlookers, immediately v went to the rescue, arid ■*' the ; -ear ; ; was >ifi ed sufficiently to allow--the -man to be extricated..
