It will be the resident engineer's home, : and should' be ready for; occupation in a few days- Two more houses at Arapuni-, will be built immediately. ;, '. ■ " X The construction of the road deviation round Pearson's j Hill .is proceeding ,as weather conditions permit, and it is understood; that the plans for the. projected continuation of 'this road to : apunl along the eastern bank - of the ' Waikato .River gorge are now completed. i , '.' ; V The Public Works Department, it is reported, is also" forthwith undertaking the: re-conditioning of the Waipa Bridge, "on the Horahora Road, to permit of heavy traffic between ■ Horahora and Arapuni. ,; i; -
