There was some speculation as to who she was, but that was soon solved when she came alongside the King's Wharf. It was found that sh© was tho yacht Fantome I*, at ono time known as the French barque Belem, of some 500.. tons net or 1000 tons gross register. i. The vessel is splendidly fitted up, the hold being divided into state rooms and cabin, while a glass-windowed long deck house amidships is used as a lounge and smoke room and boudoir. There is a crew of 32 all told, under" Captain Frogbrook, who hails from tho Isle of.Wight, and who has been in command of Lord Iveagh's yacht for years. On this occasion ho has been " loaned" to Lord Iveagh's second son, the Hon. A. E. Guinness, who owns tho Fantome a.*. * Mr. Guinness eh accompanied by his wife and daughters, Aileen, Maureen and Oonagh Guinness, Miss Tennant (cousin of Mrs. Guinness), Dr. Phillipps, Sir Algernon Guinness, Mr. O. Fane ? and Mr. lain Murray. The party sailed from London in April and have visited Gibraltar,! , Las Palmas, Gape Verde, Colon, Balbao, Galapagos, MarquessaS; Tahiti l Cook and Tongan Groups. It has not been definitely decided where the next port of call will be, but it will fwrobably do the Solomons. Mr. Guinness s an ardent fisherman and is out daily with the trollingrod. In this he has been joined by His Excellency the Governor, wjio is a keen enthusiast. The party has been entertained to a number of private functions and are greatly pleased with Suva and its beautiful surroundings. It is stated that the Belem was purchased by the Duke of Westminster, who spent £70,000 in refitting her as a yacht. The vessel is certainly on© of the finest seen hero, where many handsome yachts call from time to time.
