RELEASE IN WANQANUI. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT, j •" WANGANUI. Wednesday. l [J: In accordance with an agreement' with the Marine Department, the Wanganui Acclimatisation Society has paid the sum of £50 to the credit of the public account. This bonus was offered by the society'in consideration that the Government make a start to stock the Wanganui River with Atlantic salmon. A start has been made with . the introduction of salmon, the first batch being released last . week in a small stream above Taumaruriui. r ;
