NORTH ISLAND TOURNAMENT AUCKLAND REPRESENTATIVES, i - ; The team of amateur -boxers selected' to represent Anokland at- the North Island boxing championship tournament at Napier on Friday and Saturday left last evening by, the Mam Trunk express. The team was accompanied by the manager, Mr. W. E. Dei-van, and the/- Official trainer, Mr. S. Donovan. Mr,-".- F. Burns, of the Nortbfrn Boxing Association, who was appointed a judge for the North Island'- tournament, also accompanied the team. - The f Auckland representatives. ■ are :—Flyweight. J. O'Sullivan: bantam-weight. G. Cammick; feather-weight. C. Purdv: lightweight, G. Brown; •; welter-weight, G. Buckley; middle-weight,/R. Meale; light heavyweight. A. Firth, _G. Purdy / and R. Meale are both New Zealand and : Australian champions; / The welter-weight originally chosen; A. Prahgley, was unable to make the trip owing to an attack of influenza. ;■/",,:,/: ' •
