EDENDALE PRESBYTERIANS
LAST YEAR'S ACTIVITIES. The annual meeting of «the Edendale Presbyterian Church was held last week, the Rev.,., J D. McKenSiTe presiding over a fair attendance. The annual report showed Bteady progress in the; various ; branohes of the; church activities.' The number on the communion roll was 118, with an average attendance of 91. The treasurer's report showed that receipts amounted to £1049. The Bum of £70 had been paid off the church debt>; and there was a credit balance, of £6. A feature of special interest had been the erection of the Joseph Wilson Memorial Olass Room for infant scholars, at a cost of £448, toward which £70 had been collected by the primary scholars. It had been opened free of debt. ; The evelope system showed an improvement of £100 on the previous year's collections. The Sunday : School report Bh'owed an increase of 22 scholars and two teachers, the roll number being 246 and 23 respectively. Messrs Mearns and McGowan were elected elders, and Messrs. May, French."
