NEW YORK, July 17.
Mr. Magnus Johnson (Farmer-Labour), has been elected with a probable majority of 40,000 over his opponent, Mr. J. Preus (Republican), in the Minnesota byelection for the seat in the United States Senate made vacant by the death of Mr. K. Nelson, who was a Republican.
