There is' little doubt as to the stronghold of the Public Service in New. Zealand. The tenth annual report of the New Zealand Public Service Association gives the membership -at' March 31, 1923, as 5536. Of these no less than 2040 belong to; the Wellington Association, 809 are Aucklanders, '614. appear., under the Canterbury heading, and 482 under that of .Otago. . ... ,i .:■' .- i '■ . >.
