One bf the most <- up-to-date motor garages in Auckland is to be erected in Albert Street for the Auckland Motor Company. A feature of the construction will be its span roof, which will be constructed on the principle of a bridge and will dispense with the necessity for columns. The building is to have a frontage of 72ft. to Albert Street and a depth of, 130 ft., the whole of this area being constructed without a single supporting column. Other modern improvements will be embodied in the design- Excavation of the site has already commenced under the direction of Messrs. j J. T. Julian and Son, contractors.
