PROGRESS OF TE KUITI.
TOWN HALL PROPOSAL. LOAN FOR STREET WORKS; [m? TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT, . TE KUITI. Wednesday. At a special meeting of the Borough Council held on Monday to consider certain loan proposals affecting the future progress of the town, it was unanimously decided to raise a loan of £6000 for street improvements. A proposal to build a Town Hall on a site to be selected was enthusiastically received, and a committee was set up to gather data from the neighbouring towns and report to the next meetings of the council. It was also decided that Te Kuili limestone be the material used. . ■
The Works Committee was deputed to furnish a report on certain suggested alterations to (lie present writer system, with a view to increasing the pressure in the outskirts of the borough, thus Oigoriiug bettgc; facilities for fire-fating. : '' V
