NEW RAILWAY BOARD.
PUTARURU -TAUPO LINE.
MR. FRIEDLANDER CHAIRMAN. [BY TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Thursday. Tho first meeting of the newly-elected Putaruru-Taupo Railway Board, was held in Hamilton to-day, there being present Messrs. Hugo Friedlander, K. S. Cox, H. W. Bullock, J. Campbell, W. C. Hewitt (temporary clerk), and Dr. F. J. • Rayner. . ;.. J , r, ! Mr. H. Friedlander was elected chairman. ' \ The board decided to ask the TaupoTotara Timber Company to submit their proposals regarding the purchase of their railway line from Putaruru to Mokai in writing. The meeting then adjourned to meet in Auckland next week to receive the company s proposals and to hear their representatives.
