LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS.
ONEHUNQA MAYORALTY.
LABOUR PARTY'S SUPPORT.
The four candidates for the Onehunga Mayoralty— J. E. Cowell, A. A. Oreamer, I. Lomaa, and E. Morton —addressed a meeting of the Onehunga branch of the Labour Party last evening. A ballot was taken, when it was decided, by a majority, to support the candidature of Mr. A. A. Oreamer. A request was made by a representative body of electors this week to Mr. W. K. Howitt, who represents the North Shore borough on the Auckland Hospital Board, that ne again consent to nomination for the seat. Mr. Howitt said hia heart was very much in his work and be would comply with the request. Mr. James Montgomerie has consented to stand as a Mangere Biding candidate for the Manukau County Council.
