TO - DAY'S FORECAST.

GOVERNMENT REPORT.

The Government meteorologist reported last night as follows: Present indications are for moderate to strong northwest to south-west winds; weather dull and miity with rain following generally. The barometer is unsteady with a falling tendency^.

MR. K. K. WRAGGE'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was supplied to 113 by Mr. K. K. Wragge at 10 o'clock last evening: pressure has now passed into west longitude, while tropical iow pressure waves threaten North Auckland, and show a tendency to amalgamate with the northern edge of the Antarctic disturbance Haalah. This distribution of pressure implies that unsettled and boisterous weather, with rain following, is to bo expected, with fresh to strong winds from betwen north-caßt, north, and north-west. Sea rising off northern and western coasts.

PREDICTION BY MR. VINCENT. The following weather forecast was supplied to us by Mr. H. M. Vincent, of Mount Albert, at 6.30 p.m. yesterday:— A cyclonic storm, with north-east gale and heavy rain, is probable within 12 hours, the Auckland Province being most affected. Wind backing to westerly after about 24 hours, with unsettled weather for several days. Seas heavy on the east coast and later on th« west coast.
