The success which has attended the effort? <of the Sunny Park Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., in the past has been maintained this season. For the last two seasons the company sold its out-' put of cheese at the beginning of the season, and by this course it was able to pay its suppliers a record price for their produce. Last season the company paid 2& per lb. for butter-fat, while the next best pay-out for a company that disposed of its i cheese on consignment wan Is Set. It was found at the close of last season that the company would not have sufficient accommodation in its six-vat factory to deal with all the milk that would be offering this season so, in accordance with a welldefined programme, , the company installed a butter-making. plant. Up to the end of February the company made 200 i tons of butter. This quantity is cal \ culated to exceed 300 tons before the end of the season. The grading has been very satisfactory. Sales are made from month to month, and to date the company has made advance payments averaging Is 4|d per lb. butter-fat. -, A bonus on the season's supply to date will be paid ■on May 20, bringing the payment up to Is 6d per lb. , A" further bonus will be paid at the close of the season, and if the market prices are maintained the total pay-out is expected to reach Is 7id per lb. The company is expending £2590 in extensions, and next season it will have a dual plant, with a churn for making and 10 vats for ' the manufacture of either cheese or casein.
