KIRKWOOD ON SICK LIST.
SHOULDER MUSCLE SPRAINED
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association, (Reed. 7.4 p.m.) NEW YORK. March 13. Kirkwood, who recently sprained a muscle of his shoulder, played through the Florida West Coast golf tournament without complaining, thinking that the injury was of no consequence, but when fishing to-day he hooked a four-foot kingfish, and in attempting to land it sprained his shoulder so seriously as to compel him to consult a physician. He has been ordered to cease golf for a fortnight. This has resulted in the cancellation of several tournament engagements which he and Ha gen had booked. He will sail for England with Hagen on May 1 to participate in the British open championship, the Gleneagles match and many other open events.
