ESTIMATES EXCEEDED.
[BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.) WHANGAREI. Tuesday- , Seven tenders for the erection of a nursss' home, opened at a moeting of the. Whangarei Hospital Board, disclosed an excess over the estimated cot;t of several thousands. The plans had been approved for a building costing £10,000. After a lengthy discussion of difficulties in thu way of reducing the cost in view of tho acceptance of the plans, it was decided to put the position before the Hon. J. 0Coates, who is expected in Whangarei on Thursday.
