PIAKO COUNTY OPPOSED.

County Council to the Thames Harbour scheme was decided at' its meeting yesterday; Mr. Glynn moved that the Piako Countj ; y Council declare itself against the Thame* Harbour scheme. The mover stated that;';' the reason for the motion was that the settlers in the county did not consider that the scheme was going to be of air/**' benefit to them. The motion was seconded ? by Mr. Bell and carried unanimously. The chairman, Mr. Walters, and Mr.,; Orr were deputed to represent the Piako v County at the conference of opposing bodies to be held at To Aroha on Wednesday. ''-:•
