[by teleorafh.—own correspondent.] PUTARURU. Saturday. The poll of ratepayers for authority to raise a loan of £10,000 for road metalling was carried by 90 votes to 49. The allocation is as follows: Lichfield Road, £3000; Puketurua roads, £2000; Overdale roads, £2000; Waotu Road, £1000; Tirau Road, £1000.
