CHINESE STOWAWAYS.
TWO FOUND DEAD. Australian an 3 N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 9.5 p.m) SYDNEY. March 5, Shortly after the steamer Houtman, from Singapore to Sydney, left Brisbane 18 Chinese stowaways were found secreted in the coal near one of the furnaces. The men were terribly emaciated. They said they had slowed away at Batavia. A further search revealed the bodies of two more who were unable to survive the privations.
