Wyllie, reported that some of the Avondale applicants were outside the Board's area, but it would be practicable to make arrangements to supply them. The total load due "to works in the Avondale district would be about 500 k.w., which would mean the extension of a high-tension from the Grey Lynn sub-station and, .eventually, the laying of a. further underground feeder cable to Grey Lynn. He did not anticipate it would be possible to deal with that load under 18 months. The chairman, Mr. W. J. Holdsworth, said they had .received several inquiries from the district, where there were, some large industries. Considerable discussion ensued, in the course of which reference was made to the requirements of other districts, ' particular mention being made of Penrose. It was decided that the engineer report further on the subject.
